Curriculum

  1. Week 1

    Introduction to Cybersecurity

    Understand cybersecurity fundamentals, the CIA Triad, common cyber threats, malware, ransomware, social engineering, cybersecurity roles and real-world cyber attacks.

  2. Networking Fundamentals

    Learn networking basics, OSI and TCP/IP models, IP addressing, ports and protocols, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, network architecture, footprinting, reconnaissance and network scanning.

  3. Week 2

    Security Fundamentals

    Learn security principles, threats and vulnerabilities, risk assessment, cryptography basics, encryption and decryption, hashing, authentication, authorization and security controls.

  4. Operating System Security

    Understand Linux and Windows security, file permissions, users and groups, access control, system hardening, secure configuration and common operating system vulnerabilities.

  5. Web Application Security

    Explore web security fundamentals, common web vulnerabilities, authentication and session security, input validation, data protection and secure web application development practices.

  6. Week 3

    Ethical Hacking and Penetration Testing

    Learn ethical hacking methodology, reconnaissance, scanning, vulnerability assessment, exploitation concepts, penetration testing, VAPT and security testing techniques.

  7. Incident Response and Management

    Understand security monitoring, threat detection, incident identification and the incident response lifecycle including containment, eradication, recovery and post-incident analysis.

  8. Security Policies and Governance

    Learn security policies, risk management, governance, compliance, data protection, security standards and organizational security practices.

  9. Week 4

    Advanced Cybersecurity

    Explore advanced threats, network defence, IDS, SIEM, security monitoring, phishing defence, ransomware prevention, enterprise security and modern cybersecurity practices.
